Sean Clifton vystudoval architekturu ve Velké Británii, odkud se v roce 2001 přestěhoval do Prahy, aby zde převzal vedení britsko-české architektonické kanceláře Jestico + Whiles.
Pražské studio bylo založeno v roce 1990, a to jako jedno z vůbec prvních zahraničních architektonických společností, které začaly působit v porevoluční Praze. Český tým, čítající kolem 20 architektů, realizuje pod Seanovým vedením široké spektrum projektů napříč střední a východní Evropou, ale také v Indii, Pákistánu a Africe. Seanovi bohaté zkušenosti přispěly k řadě významných ocenění, které Jestico + Whiles získala za vytříbenou architekturu, územní plánování a interiérový design. Celková hodnota všech projektů, na kterých se Sean podílel, dosahuje astronomické částky 250 milionů liber.

Experience: Sean joined Jestico + Whiles in 2001, and since that time has been based in Prague where he is responsible for Jestico + Whiles’ operations in the Czech Republic and across Central and Eastern Europe.
The Prague office was established in 1990 and now boasts 22 people with a wide variety of international experience, and has architectural and interior design commissions for master planning, residential, hotel, offices and mixed leisure projects in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Germany, Croatia and India, all under Sean’s management.
Having completed many unique and award winning international architectural and interior design commissions for a variety of building types, Sean has particularly broad international skills and experience for projects up to £250 Million.
Sean has extensive cinema and retail design experience, having been responsible for the successful delivery of over 100 screens across Central and Eastern Europe and India. He is currently leading a series of cinema multiplex projects including the flagship Gemini Cinema in Chennai India, and the Art Cinemas multiplex and retail centre in Lahore, Pakistan.
Sean has a particular passion for both site specific and sustainable design, and is currently leading a number of exciting projects across Europe and India. Of particular note is a ground breaking residential project in Prague which includes 300 individually designed luxury villas, 150 apartments and townhouses, an 18 hole signature golf course and associated club house facilities, an international school, a boutique shopping area, and renovation of an important historical castle complex.
Having taken a leading role in the establishment of the Architecture Centre in Bristol, UK, Sean has also exhibited his own artworks in London, Bristol and Moscow. Sean is a visiting lecturer at the ARCHIP School of Architecture in Prague, and a series of ‘Architecture lessons’ for 7 to 9 year old children in the UK proved particularly enjoyable and successful.
